How the basebal cap camera works - Typically, the cap will have a secret lining that holds either a CMOS ( (lower price), or CCD ( more expensive) video camera and is totally undetectable.
Also, the secret liner will hold a DVR device which stores all the recorded data.
Some of the older or cheaper cap cams require a wire to to connect the camera to the recording device. This requires you to wear a wig or your own hair to cover the wire as it is clearly visible on your neck - which kinda sucks - kinda diminishes the the "spy" factor .
However there are many on the market that conceal all hardware in the hat, there are no wires to conceal so you can be confident no one will notice a thing.
The actual video we've seen on many of these is amazingly good, most come with an SD memory card which easily attaches to your computer or laptop (via USB cable). You can playback the video from your computer or if you're on the go and need a portable playback device a DVR device works great.

We found that some web cam caps had no logo which seemed odd...A team logo or any logo would be a little more natural. We found this one here BASEBALL HAT CAMERA / SC-WCV3PG, that had a sort of nike type logo...which looks totally natural.
For about $275-$300 you can get a covert baseball cap camera that captures black and white as well as color images. Most have a Lux rating of about .05 which will pick up fairly decent in dimly lit situations...like a dark smokey bar or night club. All we've seen work off of 6-8 AA8 baterries.
